Clutch operation question

I have a 1994 hilux, 22re, 5spd, 2wd. Is it OK to let the tranny out of gear while rolling or coasting to a stop. Say for example, I'm approaching a stop sign at 35mph, I push in the clutch pedal, put the shifter into neutral and then release the clutch pedal. Will that damage the clutch? Or any other part of the vehicle?

Thanks in advance for your input.
