Looks like the 1200lb non-ceramic it is!!
Good choice. I had one in my 86 4runner and loved it. I will be putting one in my 88 excab soon.

I have about 12,000mi on my Luk Gold. Not a lick of trouble no slip good price. With 31"x12.5" tires, the tires slip but not the clutch. I don't think that my 22re can light them up, but i am going to try tomorrow.

Like wabbit said set up correct you don`t use the clutch all that much.

If you do any serious Rock Crawling and don`t have a automatic unless your running double cases I don`t care which clutch your running it won`t last long.Because even 1st gear low range is much to fast.

I am using The Luk Clutch in a few vehicles and trying the Aisin in one.

Then I seldom allow others to drive them so other then hydraulic issues they should last as long as I want.

FourwheelinVT pointed me over here and this thread is a lot of help. Going to get the Marlin for sure. My stock clutch has been through three drivers, two of which were learning how to drive stick. Now I have it and I've got 30x9.5R15's on it and the clutch chatters starting off in first gear and it slips a little doing hills. It'll be time to replace it soon.

I guess we all have our favorites .

It is like a bunch of women trying to decide which brand and style of anything is the best.

Swimmerboy are you replacing the flywheel as well? I ordered the same clutch kit and hoping to just leave the flywheel alone. Im curious to see how it works out for you.

If I find that my flywheel is damaged when I replace the clutch then I will probably go with a high torque one.

Yes it is but unfortunately the engine i purchased and installed when i installed the clutch took a crap on me so I only got to drive the truck for about 100mi. with the new clutch. But I can already say it feels very similar to stock only with more grab

Thumbs up from me!

Worthless knowledge here since it's not even installed yet, but i'm doing a budget lower end rebuild here and i went and picked up a cheap $80 lifetime warranty Autozone clutch kit. Everything included in that price, disc, pressure plate, pilot/ throwout bearings, even grease. It's actually a pretty nice looking repackaged valeo clutch kit. The guy behind the counter has been working there for about 6 years and has only had 1 come back. It was just plain worn out having been in a work truck for 10 years. I know it's not going to be the MC clutch, but it looks pretty good for $80 and change! Had my autozone card with me, so actually got it for 65 after tax .

I ordered a rte flywheel and stock clutch kit, just under 200 for those pieces, I expect only minimal grip increase with a stock feel, but then again i was running around on a burnt out stocker for a while! Hopefully will have fully rebuilt engine and new clutch in two weeks, i'll leave feedback for sure.

Not trying to hijack the thread but I was wondering,I talked to MC earlier about a clutch for my 87 the guy said since I am running 38.5 boggers I should get the 1600 competition clutch. He said it would work better than the HD 1600,my truck is used for mud and trails but gets driven on the street also. I was wanting to get yalls opinion on this. Thanks for any help
