Cluster Swap Tachometer wire gauge

I am installing an SR5 instrument in my 1987 2wd pickup, 22r. I do not believe that the tachometer is plug and play so I must wire the tachometer to the igniter. I was wondering what gauge wire to use when wiring the tach.

I just used normal everyday wire. Works better than my aftermarket tach did.

Thanks, I ended up going with 16 gauge wire.
