cleaning egr passages in the plenum?

cleaning egr passages in the plenum?

hello

can you clean the egr passages in the plenum intake without taking off the intake plenum off

and where is the egr passages in the intake plenums i know of the 2 on throttle body for the egr vsv and the one for the egr temp sensor and egr pipe, does that one get blocked offen?

Generally the only place a "clog" will happen is right where the egr gases meet the cool intake air. Which is right where the egr pipe connects to the back of the plenum. You can take some pipe cleaner brushes and try and clean it out a bit in the plenum. It may also be a good idea to remove the throttle body and give in a good cleaning alot with all the passages.

Why are you doing this again?

does that hole in the back of the plenum get smaller i can only get about 1 inch of a coat hanger though it does that hole to the big opening in the plenum

That "hole" is a passage that goes all the way down to the throttle body. but it usually clogs right there where the egr meets the intake air.
