Reminded me of All Your Base Are Belong to Us.
Regardless, if you hadn't noticed your Steering box's say ToyoDa ... now you know.

Yoda... They very 'wise', yes. Wise they are.. mmmhmmmm
I read somewhere it was the last name of the founder of Toyota?

Yes, the owner of what we of as Toyota was Mr. Toyoda. I can't remember his first name off the top of my head, but I have researched and read the whole history of the company. Pretty good reading for the diehard Toyota fan.
Interestingly enough, he started out as a bicycle builder. He later made motorized bicycles and eventually cars.
Another useless and interesting fact is that he had a dream one day that if all of the cars that he made began with a "C", then his company would be sucessful. That's why there use to be the Celica, Camry, Crown, Corolla, Corona, Cressida, etc.
Another thing about odd things on our engines is "Yamaha" stamped into the heads. Some of the Celicas with the GE head have this molded into the head. Yamaha has designed some of the heads for Toyota in the past. This relationship can also be found if you read up on the history of the company.

Toyoda was changed to Toyota because it was easier to write and was supposed to bring good luck tot he company. Was also meant to indicate Toyoda's separation of work and private life.
At least that's what Wikipedia has said.

Shame shame shame. Don't you people ever read your bibles? The Toyota Owners Bible, OF COURSE!!!! It's NOT a fiction ya know. I'm recomending we test every potential yotatech member, to determine their knowledge of the book, before allowing membership. I jest.
