Chilton's Manual Leaves A Lot to be Desired

I need help folks. The Chilton's manual I have on my 86 22R skips several important steps. For instance, it's not ALL waterpump bolts that torque to 27 lbs. I found this out the hard way. I knew it was wrong, but hey, the experts wrote the book!

Here's where I need help. Is there a comprehensive listing of torque numbers for a complete engine overall? ie...What's the cam keepers torque to?

I just found one of those infamous timing chain rub holes. Of course, I already had the head off before I found it!

Thanks for looking. Help if you can.
Thanks
Terry

I can't find those waterpump bolts in here, but this link has got the engine numbers your wantin'. Click Engine Mechanical--Service Specifications.

I trust Chiltons with my life, snapping bolts ain't their fault necessarily. My opinion, of course.

Chilton, Haynes, et al try to cover too much ground in too little space. Nothing beats a Factory Service Manual, for any brand of automobile. I have relied on them for every vehicle I've ever owned. We're just very fortunate that Toyota manuals are some of the best in the business!
