they arent at full flex though since the tire is still hitting the body, when i did the latest trim i gained an additional 4-5 inces up travel....

if you can afford it, 4link it

that is sick!. I have to do this. did you do a custom fab or use a kit? what springs? can you send a pic of underneath from the rear so i can see what is going on in your setp. pics of front mounting locations. I know i would never get that out of a spring. Is it as heavy duty as using springs. reliability wise? thanks for the pics.

It was a custom build(my friends shop)
The springs are Stock TJ coils...dont remember the year....
I think links are stronger...my opinion(if your're worried about strenght get chromoly). I broke the leave springs that you see it on, cracked in half. It was a sper lift 6.5" lift springs....i took out some leaves to drop the hieght which caused the leaf to break after a few runs in the trails. My new leaves are trail gear 3".

Link set up reliable? Definately, and has a smoother ride, it's quiter and handles like a Lexus in the trails no joke lol.

Anyway, here are some pics of the rear build...not the best angles :S

The bottom link was sleeved for extra strength . the inner is 1.25" and the sleeve is 1.75" i believe(sorry it was so long ago )

This is not a cheap build.... like i said if you can afford, 4link it. and if i could, i'll link the front

thanks for the pics. what makes it so expensive?? link ends, steel, etc. the custom work looks straight forward I think. How did you come up with all of your measurements and such. looks great. with all that steel on the rearend that think is a tank. Looks like the exhaust would be tuff to run after this. nice job. back in the day when I was into lowrider trucks I used to 4 link the rears with airbags. it was easy. I did buy kits for this though. thanks

Here's the buld thread on mine

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...thread-153382/

I went pretty much top of the line, and it was $1000 without springs/shocks.

Fabrication-wise, I don't think it's much more or harder work than doing a leaf swap.

Materials is expensive, but if you do the work yourself it would be much cheaper!! DO IT!!!

As for the measurements, the shop came up with all of them. For the exhaust, there is actually a lot of room since i removed the gas tank.

if i do that i would only have the 2 springs left. Wouldnt they break or wear out extremelly fast? OR is the the same as taking the overload of any spring pack.. the overload is only working when it is almost flat?

Looked at the other pic and seems like they used a 12" or so straight extension off the tcase that connects to the u joint..
