I am having an issue locating a center console that will fit my 86 turbo 4runner. I have the model with the rear heater .. What other model or yr would fit this specific runner. It looks similar to the 90-94 model.. Such a pain! Also i do plan on converting to a 5-speed manual soon so would i need a different console?? or would this one work... advise please! thank you!

 

if you convert to a 5 speed you will need the shifter trim ring from the manual, its in my manual swap thread. As for the console, i have one in my 88 from a 94 i believe. Go to a junkyard and pick yourself up a new console. There's no need to post one question twice; just be patient, your answer will come.

Im not sure where you're located, but where here in fl theres noooo 1st gens so if you find one in a scrap yard, buy anything you could see yourself ever needing.

 

im in northern california.. and up until a month ago there were no 1st gens!!!! but now there are a few on a couple lots near me.. ive been hunting down extra parts every time one comes in. i have found a sunroof and a turbo gauge cluster.. my runner only needs a console and shes complete.. ive owned her since 2001.. shes all original. just with a busted console lol

 

yea, ive been there. Then i started beating on it. Now theres no going back!

 

lol ya ive off roaded her alot and had to replace the engine and rebuild the turbo.. so far dumped about 15k into her and put a small lift on with 32" bfg mud terrains but i wanna go bigger and do a solid axle swap plus much more!.. big plans!
