Iam restoring a 87 Yoda 4x4
I got the motor about done minus headers
So i found these pro street headers from LCE which from what i hear
they make the best bar none...
Now my question is,do i really need that catalayc converter?
i took it off my last yoda,and it instantly started running better.
LCE agrees to certain degrees, but he wants to sell me a High Flow? Converter which he said would do you some good with the setup i have..
Well? should i get it or not and really,how would it help..this converters only $160. ive seen where some of them get very expensive

 

It will help by converting poisonous carbon monoxide to harmless CO2.

yes...but the amount that would come from my truck would not justify spending extra money(160+ shipping) and sacrificing performance.

Not really, i live in south louisiana way down da Biya,and aslong as your vehicle aint ratardid loud,they dont care..so iam not gonna get it. mi last yoda ran 10xs better after i took it off..aight thanks dude

 

I would say don't run one then. I took mine off and I ended up gaining 2mpg. Plus it sounds way better with my exhaust set up.
