Truck models that each canopy will fit should be noted in the ads youre looking at. The things that are variable are the cab-high vs raised and different side window options as well as rear window door designs.

After you get the right size down which is obvious, it's getting the angle on the rear of the cab to match the canopy angle. So finding a canopy made at the same time as your truck, or coming off your year truck is very helpful.

HiJacked!
And I was wondering if anybody knows who made a canopy that looks exactly like a 4runner. Thanks.

My canopy is made by A.R.E. I've seen another guy in town with a very similar canopy. Mines in rough shape but I like that it follows the body lines of the truck & cab.

from what i have noticed, regular cab trucks the back of the cab is straight up and down (vertical). the back of an extended cab is sloped. you can kinda see it on johnnycanucks pic he posted.

a canopy designed to go on a ext cab truck will not fit on a reg cab truck

I never realized the angle was different.
I'm also looking for a canopy. I've got an '83 standard cab and an '84 ext. cab. That's good info thanks Toyquad.
Nice looking topper Johnnycanuck.
