CANNOT Get This Wiper Thing Figured Out!
Bought a 94 DLX a couple of months ago. Wipers were really slow, so I decided to replace the motor, linkage, blades, and arms (I also wanted to do some tinkering anyway, as I've never done that). Turns out, the wipers on this generation have two speeds- slow and slower (stole that from someone on this site). The problem I have now is that the wipers will not go smoothly across the windshield. Both wipers work smoothly on their own, but when both arms are down, they drag to the point of barely being able to complete one cycle across and back. In fact, the stress on the linkage caused a screw on one of the bushings to pop off. I've tried adjusting the arm tension, I've used different blades, I just can't seem to get this figured out. The new linkage, arms, and blades are all OEM. Suggestions before I take it to someone who actually knows what they are doing?
