camshaft replacement question

hey sorry if this is a stupid question but: Do you have to remove the intake and exhaust manifold when replacing the camshaft or should i leave them on for pressure so the head doesn't move? I want to be cheap and not replace my head gasket being as my engine has under 10,000 miles. I know you have to drain out all the coolant in the head by the plug at the back. but is there anything else i should be worried about thanks.

The only way we can help is if you give us some specifics on your type of engine, etc. Otherwise it's just a shot in the dark

Ya dig...

yeah i do my baby's mom's family has a auto shop and they can show me if needed but i put in my engine myself. i use to fix cnc machines so this is nothing compared to that. But the guy at engnbldr said make sure you do the coolant plug or it could blow the head. i didn't ask removing about removing the manifolds and i didn't want to bug him again so thank you that's all i needed.

you dont have to remove the int/exh but drain the water in the radiator and block.
