Mine is R12
Needs a recharge tho
Pulls down to about 50

93 Acura Legend with R134(?) as OEM
will pull down to 40 briefly (its got auto climate control) usually holds 50

Use a cooking dial stem meat thermo stuck in the vents

The best I ever got out of a system was just below 32F on a R-12 system that was a touch "overcharged". That was years ago on a system in a Big Old Boat, thats why it was in the shop. On a humid day the evaporator would "ice over" and his A/C would not work properly.

When doing P.D.I on the new vehicles at the dealership, it was not uncommon to see A/C temps in the mid 30's F at the vents closest to the evaporator IF the amb temp is not to high. {R-12 system}

34 degrees with the outside vent closed. Considering the temp has been near 100 lately in MS, this is an absolute necessity.
