The custom wood console looks good!
I took the lazy way out- https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...onsole-166742/
My pics are on the bottom of page 1.
It came with two large cupholders, which I attached to the back. They are reachable from the back or front seats.

I was thinking of copying you on the console but the tuffy 6" with radio compartment is exactly what Im looking for. I can mount my cd player in the dash and my cb in the console. Yours is gonna be great though. I cant wait to see it covered and installed

What do you think he would charge to do my console lid(I mean, if I can find someone here, I might have something to go on, ya know?)??? I just want mine re-padded and covered.... and I have the materials. I've tried messing with it but I just can't seem to get it 'JUST RIGHT', ya know?

nice job on the cover... it looks very good... make sure you spray it with some scotchguard especially around the cup holder to make spill clean up easy...

Man, honestly, I'm really impressed with the guys work! Very nice!
PS> Dropped mine off at Torrance Upholstery just 10 minutes ago hahaha. The lid, specifically. He's going to give me the stuff to hook up a 12v to the base and and a lock kit, too, and when I get my CB, soon, I already have the hooks for dual mic/holders riveted in(PO had hooked it up....and the CB was stolen on a trip one time, GRRR) I already have the wiring in and everything....just waiting for my brother in law's new 300$ one to come in and he'll send me his ...... He measured it out, too, and he's going to make me a removable cooler sleeve for the bottom section. For now, I'll be happy to take a trip with a 3" padded arm rest-console-lid! hahaha.
You've started a console revival, Sir! lol.

Thanks everyone for the comments and feed backs.
Great Idea. Ought to do it befor i bolt it in.
And Chef, I am going to put some power plugs in there and some cigarette lighter plugs to. I already have my CB hooked up in the ash tray so figured thats kinda nice. I might put a locking kit on mine. Only problem is that its wood and might could be broke open if someone really wanted to, Maybe. I made it out of some thick oak. If i put a nice fat screw in it there might not be a problem. What do you think. Those fridges are awesome.
Three inches is a big thick pad. Mine isn't quite that thick. But it is perfect in my opinion. Its a really nice pad though. I love it.

The total price in all for me was about 100 bucks. I had the wood and filler and just had to buy some more sand paper and get the upholstery done. So in my opinion, well worth it to have a custom one that is unique and matches my seats.
