I also would say build it, but if you really can't do another project; sell it. Maybe at the very least find out why it wont run, fix it, then sell it.

If you choose to build it, you might as well go full "slacker" mode on it. I'm sure it won't need TOO much work to get it mint.

I say build for two reasons. One, 2nd gen 4runners with the old style Toyota logo are cooler than other 2nd gens. Two, the auto isn't as bad as it's made out to be, DIRTCO built what I consider the single best 4runner ever, and his rig has an auto tranny.

I thank you all for your opinions .. but it's going under the knife and being parted ..


but AFTER ... I build some fiberglass repair 1/4r panels .. (finally) i'm also thinking of doing some custom hi clearance "flared" panels , for the custom guys ..

thats good, somone else will use your parts to build their rig. just think of it like this, if everybody builded and nobody parted out, there wouldnt be any parts for them to build with!! its kind of like an oxymoron (i think thats what its called right? )
