Broken sway arm mount point in frame
Hey everyone!
So when I was taking off my sway bar/stabilizer bar, one of the bolts broke off, leaving part still in the frame. I started drilling a hole and was trying to use a screw extractor when the whole nut, welded inside the frame, broke off the inside.
What do i do now? Is there some way to fix this? I was thinking of maybe tapping a little pipe and trying to weld it up in there, or maybe just tapingot the hole and screwing in a bigger bolt right into the frame? Any feedback will be appreciated, thanks!

I had the same thing to happen to me on a truck. What I did was just have a good tack weld put on the flange to the frame. If it is ever needed to be taken off again. a cutting wheel will get it. Not the best fix but really no way of getting a captured nut back inside the frame.

The way I fixed this was to drill and tap( M8 x 1.25 )2 pieces of 3/8" flat 2"x4" then welded them to to both sides.
Easy fast fix been working now for quite a few years
I am sure welding in a weld nut would work as well but my way all 4 are now fixed rather then one at a time
