Breaking the steering lock.

Breaking the steering lock.
After rummaging through several similar posts, I've decided to start my own... because no one was really in my same situation.
My key wasn't working, steering wheel locked up, and the ignition would not budge (so I can't turn it to acc). I tried all the tricks that other folks had posted to no avail.
I've already bypassed my ignition, I just want the wheel to be free forever. How do I do this? (The more information you give me, the more appreciative I will be... please explain stuff, thanks).

Easy fix drill out the pin holding the lock cylinder in.
Replace your done
If you look at a new ignition switch it is the piece that sticks out the back that locks the steering column .
you have to remove the old one.
If this is beyond your ability have locksmith come and fix it.
Or if all else fails just change the whole steering column that has a key

Wiggle the steering wheel a bit, and make sure the key isn't jammed too far in. In my truck, the cylinder is a little old and worn, if I push the key in really hard, it moves the cylinder back and jams. Therefore not letting me turn the key.
