braking vibration

might be stupid question, but when i brake especially from high speeds coming of the hwy, my yota vibrates like crap....do yall think it would be the rotors or possibly bushings up front? i had a ford that did that few years back, but not near as bad, and the front bushings and tie rod ends needed replaced...but my gut says rotors....thanks for your replies

Rotors get my vote as well, probably a cheaper/easier first replacement to check if it fixes as well.

I hate to go against the grain here..........But by front bushing you mean bearing right! anyways, imo thats whats the problem is but instead of throwing parts at it, lets try to figure out the problem instead of throwing parts at it.

What you should do is, lift up the front end, and shake the wheels, its a highly recommended, wait no, make sure the car is supported by jackstands! Hold the wheel by the top and bottom and shake it back and forth, there should be a little bit of tire flex, if any, if you can move it, then you need to get a hand from someone and have them do it and you need to look behind the tire to see where its moving at, most likey there it will be the bearing and tierods.

if it doesn't however then you need to take the wheels off and inspect the rotors.

also does ur steering wheel shake?

Ive got a chevy 1500 that does this, except its so bad the truck seems to want to veer off the road I need to get it fixed but I know for a fact its a warped rotor..so..yea look into replacing your rotor.

Don't just throw parts at your truck. Buy yourself a dial indicator and magnetic base, and check the runout of your rotor, approx 1" away from the edge of the rotor. That will tell you if they are warped or not.

could also be poor alignment, worn tires that are now out of balance, warped rotors, bad wheel bearing....i would see how your tires are wearing, if they are wearing abnormally that could denote poor alignment, thus giving you the vibration..
