Coming home from work today, came over a hill and found some guy decided to park in the road. Had someone coming at me so put on brakes, hoping to stop in time...I slowed, and slowed, then the brakes went soft. Did slow down enough for the person coming at me to pass, and move to the next lane, but I might have peed a little, it was close. Luckily I was just around the block from my house, and downshifted to pull into my driveway, but when I parked, a little puff of smoke came from under the hood (passengers side). I opened the hood, and only a little smoke came out, and it was pouring, so I went inside.

Im thinking, and hoping, that its simply a blown brakeline at the master cylinder and will be easy to fix..the puff was from the fluid on the manifold?...right? Thanks for any help.....

could be, but the master cylinder is on the driver side. check the lines for the front right
