Hey guys really need some help. While driving to work with my running lights on this morning I noticed my brake lights weren't working. So when I got to the shop I started testing to see what it was. Seems my running lights turn on both my brake lights and my running lights Andy brakes turn on my running lights, yea even the front ones too. What could this possibly be?! I really need some help I'm not too awesome at wiring. Please let me know if you have any idea. Thanks

Figured it out. One bulb the post on the filament melted and let the brake and running to become one circuit. Strange how that effected it. With having even the front running lights illuminate when I would hit the brake lights. Replaced the rear bulbs and it's fixed. Barely caught the problem. So if anyone reads this and has this problem double check the bulbs before digging into the wiring.

 

Also anyone know what would cause one of the posts holding the filament to melt like that?

 

An act of one God or the other!!

Could have been a factory defect a little nick in the wire that burned through over time .

I lean toward Aliens doing research myself.

Just one of those things it happens now and then
