I can't believe those fenders fit around the doors. They must have been modified to fit, no?

Doesn't look to me like he used the fenders, only reshaped the nose of the original to fit the corner lights and grill off the newer truck maybe? Doesn't look like the 90+ flaring either. There is a big difference in the fenders - first they won't bolt on at all - the difference at the inner fender and cowl area stop that. Then there's the difference in overall height, the difference of the contour, the indentation in the body line is higher (or the lower fat part is wider) on the 90+, lots wrong with easy fit. ON the other hand, it might actaully be an easy remodel to fit em - they aren't all that different looking!

I recently went through an attempt at crossing over an '89 dash to an '87. Way to much modification for me. iI would like to know how this was done. Anybody have any luck or can offer any first hand advice. I was wanting to replace the dash (All of it) in my '87 with the dash from an '89 donoryota.

Some people just go for it I guess. The truck in those pics above - all that work to do that dash and those fenders - yet the tailgate and rear of the bed are rusting away... doesn't make sense.
