hello all

picked up a really clean 4WD 1992 extra cab and i'm looking for a shell / cap for it. from experience i know not all caps are the same so i'm reaching out to you all to find out what fits best. i'm looking for something real basic, the usual windows on the sides (i.e. not a tool box type cap), this will be a daily driver but since it is soo clean i want as perfect fit as possible.

are xtra cab shells the same as short bed shells or did they make two distinct models for each fit? i've read elsewhere some shells don't align really well with xtra cab b/c of the angle at the back of the cab (vs. regular cab short bed).

I am looking my self. you can usually pick one up between 80.00 to 200.00. Witht the ones for 200.00 being really nice. There is a really sweet one with a nice fiberglass finish, no scratches, sliding windows, working locks and keys for a 94 x-cab in Central Jersey on Craigs list for 90.00. I can't post the link because I'm at work but if you searhc the Central Jersey for "truck cap" it will come up. This one has the slight slant on it so it mates up real nice with the x-cab. I called last night and he still had it but explained it only fits on the x-cab due to the slant. Check it out. Its black and shiny and looks mint!
