Best spark plugs?

Hello everyone!!!!I recently installed new plugs in my 89 Toyota.I went the cheap route and bought acdelco's.After installation my truck idled horribly.I took them back out for inspection and found that I had broken one.Purchased a new plug reninstalled.Still idles like crap.I retook them out and discovered I had actually broken a 2nd plug.I know have 3 acdelco's and one of my old plugs in.Before I go buy anymore acdelco's I just wanted to get some expert advice.

Apparently you should avoid Bosch in these Toyotas. I have had excellent service from the brand in other vehicles but most everyone agrees & there is some evidence to back it up, that they aren't compatible with Toyota.

I am using NGK Iridiums & haven't had a hiccup yet & I got a little better fuel mileage that has stayed with me. But the iridiums aren't necessary & regular NGK or Denso plugs will work well for you.

my grandad told me when i was like 6, "always use ngk in jap cars, and bosch in kraut cars". that has always stuck with me and i've never had a single experience to make me question it. (except the jap/kraut wordage - and the rest of the quote was "and dont buy a brit car, those limeys at lucas couldn't make a...and that's all i remember.) (no offense to anyone, just quoting a crazy dude who knew a lot about cars)

NGK BP5REY (from memory, I may have the letters out of sequence) is the choice of discriminating 22RE sparkplug buyers.
