Best Aftermarket Power Steering Pressure Hose

Best Aftermarket Power Steering Pressure Hose
I have a '92 Pickup V6 3.0, automatic 2WD (the cab on my '93 Warrior Motorhome) . It's been in the shop all week for replacement of a leaking power steering pressure hose. Shop is having a difficult time sourcing a replacement. OEM has been discontinued. (I think the sourcing problem is that he only buys parts from vendors whose warranty includes reiumbursement for his labor if the part fails and he has to install a replacement part.) Anyway, looking for a part number and vendor for someone who's done a replacement. Thanks.

There are shops that can take the old hose off and crimp a new one on. Just make sure they use hose that can handle ATF.
When I replaced my p/s hose (1987 22RE) I used Edelmann. Fit fine, and no leaks 5 years later. But I've had AC hoses repaired with the "new hose and crimp old ends back on" method and that worked great, too.

I got an OE speedo cable for my '89 2dr 22re manual form these guys: YotaShop.com Got some NOS brake pads for my '08 Corolla by just plugging the part number into the browser, ebay if I remember. I think you need a Toyota part number

@Jimkola has the best suggestion. There's a NON stock option that is available. There are hose adapters available for the pump outlet and the steering box inlet that let you make your own AN hoses. That's what I did on my highly modified pickup. PSC is one place you can get them. Once you find the size you can search and they are often available at Summit Racing, Jeg's, Amazon, eBay and others.
I just looked at PSC and they list the Toyota specific size's. -6 JIC X 16MM-1.5: Toyota IFS Steering Gear and Power Steering Pump HIGH-PRESSURE Port and ....-6 JIC X 17MM-1.5: Toyota IFS Steering Gear LOW-PRESSURE Port
Once you have the adapters, you just need a high pressure 3/8 hose for the pump side and 3/8" low pressure push lock or clamp on return hose. I buy reusable hose ends and make my own hoses. Or any hose shop can make you the hose you need.
Good luck with your truck!

I had to do what Jimkola suggests. I had a shop use the original fittings and they put new hose on them. It's been several years and it works fine. I had to do this because the aftermarket one I purchased was not formed correctly.

If the big hold-up is sourcing parts with a labor warranty so they're not on the hook, labor-wise if the part fails, you could always offer to supply the part. Then they just need to document that part was supplied by customer.
Tough call for independent shops. Buy parts of questionable quality and durability that can get there the same day, or wait for better quality and have partially disassembled vehicles laying around.
