Hey guys. Been a long time since I was able to pay a visit to the site. So here's an interesting one for everyone...

Some of you may remember me putting air ride in my 4Runner last year. I made a rather interesting discovery involving the air springs I put in. Did you know that a tire plug kit can be used to patch a hole in an air spring as well? I was pleasantly surprised...saved me a fair bit of cash!

I have run them as high as 50 or so but it's pretty hard on the tailbone...generally 25 to 30 or so is pretty comfy for everyday driving. 15 to 20 offroad lets them take the edge of the big bumps pretty good. Must say they were a nice addition!

I get that plugs in the air bags may help patch leaks but...
... what happened to cause such a puncture in the bag?

nice idea. I took my 97 runner down a rough rough road yesterday, and I would have been very grateful for something that dampened the bumps. Unfortunately, my ultra-stiff OME shocks weren't up to the bit...

anyone ever done an air-susp+air brake mod?? not sure if the maxi cans would fit under a yota but it'd be a neat concept. Could hook up an air locker real easy too.
