battery wire sizing

hey all,
the last 2 things i need to do on my runner before i crank her over are:
rewire the cable on the positive battery cable.
and extend the wire on my coolant temp sensor guage.
so my question is:
what are the recommended guages for the positive battery cable
and the tiny wire for the temp sensor?

both are on a 1986 22r-e motor.
thanks alot!

4 ga for the battery, 16 or 18 ga for the temp sender

WHOOPS...you talking about the cable from the battery to the aux fuse box? I was sizing the pos cable to the starter.

8 or 10 ga for the aux wire

One guy has a wirte up about that. He used a screw to fix a new 6 gauge wire to the fuse block. He said 6 was a big as he could fit.

well, im not necessarily trying to fix the wire back to the fuse box (although that may just be easier). i was wondering about taking the other wire out of the fusebox and going with an inline fuse type of deal. so im confused about what size/type of fuse to use and what wire i should take out of the fuse box.

anyone know?
