Maybe he doesn't have the knowledge/money/time to offroad his truck and maintain it. like you guys said he sounds young and its hard to maintain a offroad toy while in school.

Props to the guy that posted above me with a little tact.

That being said, NEVER recommend Thornchickens to ANYONE.

IMHO, the " coolest " tire would be a IROK radial, but I don't think they make those small enough for your application.

I don't know about all the slang crap. But I do know my buddy has 33x12.50x15 super swamper sts radials and they look good and last forever. He got them new for under 150.00 each

Nitto Mud Grapplers are pretty ballin'. They come in a 33x13.50R15...about the size you need. Only problem is they'll cost you about $260 per tire.
