BJ spacers have been out for a long time now. if they weren't kosher, then there wouldn't be so many rigs running them. i've had mine on for several years now and everything is all good.

where the failures might happen, is when you change your geometry with BJ spacers and add more lift via t-bars, trying to match the lift of a bracket lift. this action puts CVs at extreme angles as well as changes the geometry of 20+ year old parts and makes them start wearing in places they are not used to. with that said, as long as you have maintained your suspension parts, or outright replaced them (bushings, tie-rods, bj's, idler bushings, etc etc) then you should be good to go. make changes to a crusty worn out system and YES, you'll have problems.

since you already had the spacers installed, keep them in there since you've already had to cut your control arms. if you don't like the height, lower it back down 1.5" with your t-bars. BJ spacers add the benefit of more possible down-travel from the front suspension - so this is a WIN to most of us since there will be less 3-wheeling and more traction so we don't get stuck if still sporting an open front diff.

My truck has BJ spacers, IFS brace, replaced steering parts, OME shocks all around, with OME Dakar leafs/ubolt flip/triangulated shocks, 33s/4.88s/locked rear, no front swaybar -- and my truck rides significantly better than when I bought it with 16yr old worn out everything. Wheels pretty awesome for not breaking the bank or lifting to the moon. I'm happy.

After reading all this, I still believe the BJ lift isn't right for me. I for sure will be dropping the body lift soon and letting her sit stock. Anyone have any quick knowledge about the zuk mod?
