All of my Toyota trucks have been beaten/neglected until I picked them up. Not to say they haven't been beaten since they have been in my hands, but they surely have not been neglected.
My 90..
Before -
A little while later -
The cab has seen its day, so I picked up a rust free '86 cab that will be swapped on this winter, along with a solid front axle.
Also, my '87. Before I got it a dumb kid had tore it up in a field. It was run very hot and cracked the head. My luck became of this because they tried fixing it and got frustrated during the process, and sold it to me cheap. The frame was very rotted and the engine, after I put on a new head/head gasket, has been making some loud bottom end noises for the last year that I have owned it. I swapped the drivetrain and body onto a rust free frame and built a new engine for it. The engine hasnt been put in yet.
Before I did anything, besides throwing on a new head.
Reason for frame swap.
After frame swap, w/ Boggers.
I get a sick feeling in my stomach when a vehicle is abused/neglected. No joke.

I know what you mean. I spend alot of my spare time fixing up Toys. But its a labor of love thing... plus I get paid real well
Nice looking truck by the way.. If ya'll need any more frames let me know. You would need to get them from here in Arkansas, but we have a bunch rust rot free.

Cool. Hey by the way , Don't you just love buying the ones off the dumb kid that thought it would float or fly? Most of the time it's something simple and they didn't need it anyway, because they just tear it up faster than you can fix it.

We'll in this case it didn't! Don't ya think. He had the truck off in a pond so bad, it took a week to clean the insides out and the motor was still full of water even after I pulled it out of the truck a month later. He kept trying to start the thing till that happened!

just a 22re~ Well I like it alot. And your right on topic. This is a thread about fixing Toys up as much as it is about bad stuff happening to them. and when it does can you make it right again. I've built many motors and I wanted to do one in chartreuse but the blue valve cover kinda thru me off! But hey if it works for you... go with it. I like the costom stick cover, and I wish it snowed here like that. We don't see much, but this year when we did get some(very little) snow, I was out of the country, go figur..
