what are the signs of a bad catalytic converter? like if its plugged?

 

Low engine power all across the RPM range is usually the first and most noticeable symptom.

I had the internal honeycomb fall apart on a S-10. That thing rattled like crazy from the inside! At least until it was removed, I mean replaced.
