Hi -- doing the bodywork on my 88 2wd single cab and I want to remove this piece of black plastic B-pillar trim (see picture). Really DON'T want to break it! Can any of you offer wisdom on how to do that? Are there little plastic clips underneath? Should I maybe not risk it at all, and just mask around? Please help if you know. Thanks.
Well, I feel your pain but unfortunately don’t have an answer, but doing it the proper way is a crapshoot anyway with old brittle trim. Hope someone chimes in can you see behind it from the interior trim?
Thanks, Bob. No, can't see it from inside -- first thing I checked. Seems that much of the truck is fastened with small brittle plastic clips so I doubt this would be different.
But yes, according to the video the clips are more than likely to break which isn’t a huge deal, clip part numbers are in the video, it’s the trim piece that I would be careful with, I think if you’re gingerly you should be ok
