I saw one on a 90 runner over memorial day... ITS KILLER LOOKING... My only thought was you spent $$ on the axle, but have no sliders and stock bumpers..

nothing wrong with stock bumpers and no sliders...

that all pro d60 hybrid front was made obsolete by the 30 spline longfields. what's the point in having 60 shafts if you still only have a toyota ring and pinion? if you need that kind of beef, i'd recommend a ford 9"/60 hybrid.

I was going to say this, longs are just as good but cost a lot less than that whole setup. You can have your cake and eat it too.
Also for that price, it isn't axle but no sliders or bumpers, it is axle but NO TRUCK!

All stock toyota front axles are the same... essentially. The 84-85 axles have a fully welded gusset and are the strongest housing. They all have birfields, which are the weak spot.

If you are looking for a stock axle with the best beef for the buck, get a 84-85 SFA and put some longfields in it, bolt it up..and wheel the pee pee out of it...

the gusset thing is BS and a wash. it being a lot stronger is a myth perpetuated by a bunch of web wheelers, it's still all just sheet metal and bends if you jump it.

i'd be more worried about breaking steering studs than bending a housing...

Most lilky, besides there are aftermarket gussets if you want.....

If you want to jump, stick to IFS... or a quad :-)

Dana 80? Sounds like someone was paying attention to all the diesels launching in 4x4 with 25+lbs of boost on the 1/4 mile.... Its only a matter of time before something in the drive line says bye bye...lol
