Axle Oil Seal
Okay so i have a dilemna..
Picked up my diff (thanks 82blueyota)..
Started tearing everything apart.. Going well, until i pull both axle shafts and notice that i didn't quite get all the muddy grit out of my drivers said axle shaft, and that the little rubber circle piece has seperated it'self from the metal ring.
Now, the rubber it'self isn't torn, or broken, or anything like that.
It just sperated from the metal seal on the end of the axle.
Is it supposed to be able to seperate from this? Or.. Is it toast and do i just need to go buy a new one?
I did look through the FSM, and it just shows they use a slide hammer to pop it out. And a flat ring to pop it back in...
