ive been searching for a resolution to this problem. while im driving, at any range of speed/RPM, my 4x4 light starts to flash randomly, and sometimes will continue for long periods of time. as it does this it will eventually start making a grinding noise like my hubs are grinding on the half shaft splines or something, so ill slow down, and as i pull over my front end pops loudly and my front end hops.
Ive replaced the vacuum lines on the third member, traced the other lines for damage, and i have found none, i have removed the 2 vac lines from the third member just in hopes of stopping the hubs from engaging, no luck, im now going to take the connector pin from the third member just in hopes of stopping it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, i will soon be switching to warn manual hubs because of this.
