anyone rebuiled a steering box

My power steering box is leaking. any tips on rebuilding it?

I would like to see the responces to this as well; both my input and output seals are leaking after 296k miles of steering

considering it's $300+ for a new OR remanned box, how hard could it be to rebuild?

The box or the pump?

I believe I have seen rebuild kits for the boxes but I don't know if I would try to rebuild one. They are a pain enough to drill and tap for hydro assist.

Pump, easy to rebuild.

last one i bought was a remanufactured for 300 bucks. i bought the rebuild kit then saw the diaagram and said screw it and bought the rebuilt one.
