I have 5.29's ans 33's on my 95 4Runner.... anyone know how far i actually travelled when my odometer says I went a mile? I'm trying to figure out my gas milage and right now I am calculating 10mpg! I have to sell the truck if thats the case!

 

Just get a buddy to drive with you and compare trip meters. Or use a gps. Someone might know a math formula, but definetly not me.

 

um I don't know the exact amount but with 5.29s and 33s you've actually traveled a shorter distance than what your odometer is reading therefore your getting less than 10 mpg, probably somewhere close to 7. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

 

Holy crap. Its only up from there though. I mean, you could do anything and improve your mileage.

I've nearly 4x better gas mileage (26mpg), so fix whatever's broken (and there is something broken) and you'll be amazed at the difference.

 

whatd your truck have as stock gears and tires? that would help a lot to determine that

 

Also;

What engine?
What transmission?
Do you have recent emissions testing data?
Does the engine perform poorly?
Are your brakes dragging?

I could go on, but lets start with that.
