Thinking of doing an alternator upgrade on my 2Lt.

1. Does anyone know if the alternator bracket on the 2LT is the same or similar to the 22RE bracket?

2. It the alternator on the 2LT the same or similar to the ones installed on the 22RE?

3. Will a Delco 10SI model bolt into a 2LT as easily as they bolt into the other Toyota models?

4. Would this be a suitable alternator?

Since 22R alternators are 55-60 amps, i am thinking its not really an "upgrade" from your 2LT.

They would not bolt up anyways, they are WAY different.

 

I'm not looking to 'upgrade' a 22r alternator...... I want to UPGRADE to the GM alternator.

oic. I thought you wanted to install a 22r alternator.

Just fab some brackets, and viola!
