all stock toyota better?

i have a 1990 toyota 4runner 140,000 miles. v6 5speed. rebuilt heads. the guy that i bought it from is all toyota. everything is toyota. including the coolent, airfilter, and i belive spark plugs. seems to run good. what lil aftermarket things can i put on the truck that might make it run better. it runs good now but i have nothing to compare it to so it could be better. different spark flugs? so on. ive had it almost three weeks.
thanks!!

Once you start changing things it never ends : ) So if you like working on your vehicle go for it.

my 2 cents worth.

Agreed. For Yotas I always buy plugs at the dealer.

Otherwise, not a lot you can do on the lil things route.
Fairly big things - header and exhaust help. Bigger things like big exhaust valves and porting help a lot. That's about it. Changing the intake plumbing will move the rpm band up but won't really give you any more horsepower.

What did you pay for it?

I bought a 91 4runner for $2700 and it needs a few things fixed.

$4800 doesnt sound bad at all. i paid $6000 for mine with pretty much the same set up except mine is a 1994. sounds like you got a good deal man. congrats. just remember, like others said... once you start, the fever never stops...
