Air Cleaner Adapter?

Just seeing if anyone else makes an adapter to use a decent open element air cleaner on a carbed 22r? LC Engineering makes an adapter to use a K&N open element but its $37. I have a new 10 inch K&N Air cleaner assambly that I couldnt use on my Camaro and I wanted to put it on my Toyota cause my stock air cleaner wont work with my newly rebuilt motor. I was just seeing if anyone knew any other place that would offer something like that, If not I might just get my plasma and cut apart my stocker and make something that will work.

Do you mean like getting rid of the fresh air intake piping etc? If not, just drop a similar-sized K&N right in place of the stock one. I've been running a K&N for about 10k with no problems. No performance increase, but it's one less thing I won't have to replace...

Well mines carb'd. And I have the round K&N in the stock housing. But I just finished rebuilding my motor and the stock cleaner on the carb wont fit right now with my valve cover breather etc that I have done now, I'd really like to get a good open element and get some more flow in, But no companies make any that work with the 2bbl Asian carb. And I really dont wanna spend TOO much money cause I'm changing out to a Weber 38/38 within the next year

ya you don't wanna mess with something like that, either buy the adapter or run a stock air cleaner

I just recently put in the adapter from LC Engineering with a 14in Edelbrock Air Cleaner. My adapter cost me $47 with shipping. But you will also have to buy another adapter for the weber if you don't want the tiny square air filter they come with.
