Hey y’all, I’ve got a 93 pickup 4x4, looking to add a second gas tank. The big thing I’ve been focused on finding is a mirror tank that would fill from the driver side? Then all I’d have to do is re route the exhaust down the middle with some heat shield between the tanks, atleast that’s my train of thought atm..

 

Tacomas had the tank on the driver's side. Not going to bolt in, of course.

I have a North West Off Road (NWOR) auxiliary tank that gets sandwiched between the frame and spare tire. It has a hole through the center like a donut for the spare tire lift chain. These were an aftermarket bolt on tank available until the early 2000's or so. They occasionally pop up for sale used and that's how I got mine.

I have heard of people using F-150 tanks in the back between the frame rails where the spare tire goes. There's a few threads about this on Pirate. I've never done or seen this personally. Obviously not bolt on.

 

I'd see if a shop could expand the existing tank fwd and inward. You have so much lift a custon tank could easily fit under that flat bed. If that's not enough find a in-the-bed aux tank.

 

I like the idea of the spare tire tank, I’m actually building an in-bed storage box where the spare used to be.
