Hey so im a newb trying to get my hands dirty and am going to add a leaf to my 90 v6 truck. My burning question is for the 2" add, will i need longer shocks.

 

Doubt it. Don't think they'll give you that much droop when flexing. I'd save the money for other things.

Yes, i have a canopy and just added a rooftop tent and bed storage box, all that plus my camping gear makes him ride low in the back.

 

Where did you get your add a leaf kit?

 

try autozone and look into their helper springs . relatively cheap and not as much work involved. I put a set on my Dakota for pulling a boat and trailer . lifted the bed about 1 1/2 inches while nothing on hitch . made it a lot stiffer as well. just pulled them off and installed an air ride control system on it . the helper springs I got were around $40 and were a direct bolt on that took about an hour.came with springs, u-bolts, all hardware.
