ADD diff different from manual?

I have an opportunity to pick up some 4.56 3rds out of an automatic 2nd gen 4runner with ADD, I'm running 4.10 gears in my 1st gen with manual hubs. Is it going to be a simple swap or are the diffs going to be different? I saw mention of diffs in an ADD setup being different on another forum but that's the only time I've seen it.

Just swap over the shaft. From your hubs onto the ones with add and pull out the tube hoses. I did it with mine with 4.88

THANK YOU!!! that is super helpful. Do you think it'll be any different because mine is a v6? I wish this one had the 4.88 diffs, but for free I won't complain about 4.56 lol

If your running 33's or something little smaller notice increase in power again. I got mine from a v6 92 auto 4 runner as well. Just curious are you sure they're 4.56 if you know the vehicle you're getting them from check door seal and find if it has gear code g144 is 4.88. I have a v6 Also there's nothing that's gonna be different for install except the removal off of the ADD tube and slapping together yours

I'm running 32x11.5 right now. I'm not 100% sure that they're 4.56 but I remember looking it up when the vehicle was first purchased. I'll check again.

You do not even need to swap tubes, You can pull the ADD plate off and slide it over manually and put a wormgear hoseclamp to keep it from moving back, Then slide the fork back over it correctly and bolt it back shut.
This makes it permently lock like the one you already have.
