AC clutch gone bad

I've been noticing a light oil residue around the AC compressor. Cleaned it off and a few months later checked again. Yep, same oily residue around compressor. How do I find the correct clutch for my compressor? It still uses R12 and I also have a good old full can of the DuPont R12, kept in a climate controlled environment.

where is the oil coming from??

Any new clutch you get will be oil soaked in time.

Get a AC clutch for the year Engine you have it matters not what refrigerant you use to the clutch.

Nor do you need to remove the compressor to change the clutch.

are you thinking the compressor is leaking? or the clutch is leaking. The clutch is magnetic and uses no fluid fyi.
