I started another thread about this but some unamerican ruined it.... So the rattle in to motor ended up being a rod. So I went to the place that built it and the owner said he will not cover it sence it was over 6 monthes old. I explained to him that I had been deployed for some time and there was only 32oo miles on the one he had built. Long story short the cops escorted me off the site and I now have a restraining order against me... A bit over kill if you ask me. So I found another block and had it bord 20 over. I found a cam already ground for 50 and a master install kit with a real warranty for 299. I believe that this is all I need, my head should be ok. So there is the progress on that. Is there anything else I should do or modify while I am in there? Any parts that would be recomened? Let me know, and sorry about the spelling... was never well with it.
Thanks in advance.

put yourself in his shoes though, if he makes an exception for you he has to for everybody. Calling him un-american for not treating soldiers differently than he treats civilians doesn't really make sense though...if you wanna be mad about something, be mad that he built a ☺☺☺☺ty motor....not that he isnt making an exception for you being deployed..

No he doesn't if the truck was parked for 2.5 years and only has 3200 miles(files should prove this) he should have fixed his ☺☺☺☺. and he isnt the unamerican one. its the dip ☺☺☺☺ in the other thread who wasnt helping out with his issue, just telling everyone his beliefs( which suck in my opinion).
Good thing you didnt kill the guy i know i would have. And good luck with the motor.
P.S. thanks, my dad was a marine for 25+ years.

Not a problem. Just try to watch it please
Not everyone has the sort of thick skin that some of us have developed and we like to cater to everyone here as much as possible. I swear like a longshoreman drinking like a sailor, in person, but this just ain't the place
Thanks!

oops i better keep some of my vulgar outta here.. Totally respected.
wish i could read the other thread tho
Yea post up the name of the shop. A lot of mechanics are sleeze bags, remind me of junkyard employee's.. I know some great mechanics, friends and out family mechanic is a pretty awesome legit guy. He diagnosis for free and half the time just fixes it if its nothing major for FREE. That keeps people coming BACK for the major problems.
its not hard to just be legit, really.
We were doin balljoints on my brothers F350 and had a problem getting a new main hub seal (ford 99 dana60 is one weird axle). Just couldnt get it pressed in for the life of us. Went to the dealer said it'd be a couple days!!! idiots. So we left and stopped by a local mech that my brother has worked with.. The owner spent 45 mins with us trying to get that seal on and gave up before fear of ruining a $60 part. Took it home, took his advice to dremel down an edge it was catching on.. but he didnt wanna do it. Got home got it on.
45 minutes!!! thats customer service! he didnt make a penny off us but I Tell you what we'd go back in a heart beat and be more than happy to fork over the dough!!
best of luck on the engine rebuild and god speed and thanks for your service! Cant thank ya all enough! oorah! =)
