95 4runner v6 automatic issues

OK so I have gotten my 4runner put back together. I rebuilt the motor to stock specs and figured I would replace the torque converter and shift solenoids and a new tranny filter while I was at it. The transmission drove and shifted just fine before the rebuild but now that it is running again it has a strange issue. It will drive like normal, shift like normal and has L 2 3 and D. But after about a half mile or so it becomes very sluggish and acceleration seems like something is holding it back. I need some help because as far as transmissions go I am very unfamiliar. I almost want to say it's like the lockup is keeping it from driving like normal.

Sorry for the run on and bad text but I am tired and posting from my phone. Thanks for any advice.
