95 4Runner heater not working

95 4Runner heater not working

So my 1995 4Runner SR5's heater takes a LONG time to blow luke warm air. Like an hour of running. Any ideas???? we're freezing!

Is the motor warming up? Have you checked to see if the valve under the hood is moving when you move the controls? If so you may have a clogged heater core. Does the rear heat get hot faster than the main heat? Is your coolant fresh and mixed properly, maybe it's freezing in the heater core (I doubt it but it's possible)
