i have a 1994 toyota pickup 22r-e 5speed 4wd and some days it runs great other days it runs terrible. when it is running bad the only time it misses is at half throttle if u floor it or let off of it it runs ok. i have replaced the plugs wires cap rotor fuel filter and intake gasket(it blew and started pouring water every where).also i have the dash with the tach and none of my guages work exept fuel and battery guage. shoot me some tips cause i love this little truck!!!!!

 

Might be a good candidate for the Seafoam treatment. Got 20 bucks to spend and possibly waste? Open up your throttle body and see how dirty it is in there. If it's dirty I would seafoam it.

I would try that, plus you might wanna take a look at your plugs, and check the timing with a timing light. And take off the valve cover and check valve clearances.

Don't know about your gauges, I doubt that's related to the engine missing, but you never know.

 

the throttle boby and intake are clean i put another throttle body on it today didnt make much difference.the only reason i did it was for the tps.i have put it on a light once before and it was alittle bit off so i fixed that ran good for like an hour after that.

 

got it fixed it was the computer it was not advancing the timing and the truck blew up day after that so now im installing a 22r out of a 1983 toyota.no more computers for me!!! lol
