94 runner brake light

I get a brake light that comes on intermitently when I apply the brakes in the morning. It only stays on for a few seconds and then goes out.
????????????????

brake light comes on when,

The E brake is on
Your low on brake fluid

and i think when your alt is going out.

Check your brake fluid level, that would be a start then check back here for any info.

My brake light stays on for a couple blocks after I've parked overnight with the e-brake on and its cold out. My fluid is clean and topped up. I worried about it for a while, but now I ignore it. If your brake fluid is in order, I wouldn't worry about it unless it stayed on all day.

Brake light+ battery light is your trucks way of telling you the charging system is not functioning properly. This usually means your alt is on its way out which often means the $10 brushes are worn out (easy fix).
