'94 Pick up - Dash/Center Console Dissasembly

Any one have instructions or a map. I have done it before, but for some reason,
I took the plastics from underneath the steering wheel and the glove box apart, but can't manage to remove anything above the steering wheel or the center console.

I was trying to get to the center console hoping I could re-paint it since it was fading really bad in some spots... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just installed a stereo in my '94. The bottom center section has to be removed first, then the upper center section can be popped out. It's hard because it feels pretty flimsy, and the clips hold it pretty tight, but you just have to pull in the right places. Also, I had to pop out the small piece around the ignition in order to get the center section out. Good luck.

So the bottom piece, ie the cd player and the little compartment have to come out and then the air conditioning piece?

I think so, but I can't remember. My '94 has been in the shop for a few days, so I don't have it to look at right now.

yea your right the radio, both lower finish panels below the dash need to be removed as well as the climate control plate(BE VERY CAREFULL WITH THIS ONE) ,the black panel that surrounds the cluster aswell as the vent themselves need to be removed to expose 4 screws that hold the gauge cluster. According to the manual......if you have any more questions just ask..Joe

Is there something in the manual the shows dissasembly?

I ended up cracking the piece thats about 3 inches wide and 2 feet long, curved, that goes up over the steering wheel, ĹĹĹĹing rattles now with the bass, pisses me off. Time to bust out the duck tape.

Awesome guys, thanks alot, I guess I just remove the two screws by the gauges to get to the "meter hood". does that sound right? That is the part that is cracked.
