93 p-u interior door panel removal
Hi, I'm trying to remove the door panel on my 93 pick-up and can't figure out how the door handle comes out through the panel. I didn't try that hard, I didn't want to break anything. Everything else is loose and unbroken so far. Thanks

You have to remove a little pin (like a half-moon ring) that is around the center of the door handle; use a small towel in between the handle & the door to pop it our where you can pull it with pliers.

i think he's talking about the door open handle. you undo the screw, slide it towards the front of the truck. when you pull it away from the door it'll be connected to a metal rod attached to a plastic fixture. you need to use a small flathead screwdriver to pop off the locking part of the plastic fixture and then lift the metal rod out of the hole in the plastic.
this is all outlined in the fsm, http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b.../3frontdoo.pdf
it's kind of hard to describe but it's pretty easy to figure out once you see the parts.
the other, slightly easier way is to angle the handle assembly slightly (after it's unattached from the door panel) and sort of force it through the panel. that way you can leave the handle attached and not risk breaking the plastic clip. it's kind of finicky about the angle though, i found.
